What does the office charge me?
Nothing. The lodging pays the office a commission after your stay. You pay the lodging for the room.
Can I pay on this website?
No payment is taken on this website. The lodging takes payment itself, at its desk or when it asks for a card to hold the reservation.
How quickly do you answer a request?
Within four phone hours, counted Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern.
Is the from figure the final price?
It is a starting point for a room for two over the listed nights. The quote replaces it with the lodging's rate for your dates and adds the taxes.
Which taxes are added?
Michigan's 6% use tax on rooms and, in some counties, a county room tax. The lodging adds both and the quote names them. A tourism assessment billed as its own line is shown in the quote and counted inside the room total.
Why do some stays mention the bridge?
Stays north of the Straits of Mackinac are reached over the Mackinac Bridge, which charges a toll of $4 per car each way at the time of writing. It is paid at the bridge and stays outside every figure.
Do you plan anything outside Michigan?
No. Every stay is in Michigan and reached by car.
Will you tell me the name of the lodging?
Yes, in the quote. The site describes each lodging by type so the page stays about the stay, and the quote names it.
Can I ask for a town that is not in the list?
Yes. Choose Suggest one for us on the form and name the town. We will tell you whether we can quote it.
What if I want more nights than listed?
Put the number in the form. The quote then covers your nights at the lodging's rate.
Can we bring a dog?
Some lodgings take dogs and some do not, and fees differ. Mention it in the request and the quote will say what that lodging allows.
Can a group of friends travel together?
Yes. The form takes up to four adults, and the message box can ask for more than one room. The quote then lists each room and its total on its own line.
Are children welcome?
Most lodgings in the list take families. Tell us the ages and the quote will show the room that fits.
Do you plan winter stays?
Most stays on the list are planned from spring to autumn, and each stay page names its months. Snow closes some scenic drives and changes what a lakeshore town offers, so winter dates are something to ask about stay by stay.
Is breakfast included?
Only where a stay page lists it inside the figure. Otherwise meals are outside it.
Who sets the cancellation terms?
The lodging. The quote prints them in full before you accept, and the cancellation page explains how to cancel through us.
Who handles a refund?
The lodging refunds its own deposit or charge, under its terms. The office holds none of your money.
What about cover for a canceled trip or a medical bill on the road?
We do not arrange that kind of cover. If you want it, it is yours to look into before you travel.
Do I need anything to enter a state park?
Michigan state parks ask for a vehicle pass at the entrance. Park entry is outside every figure; the pass is bought at the park or with your vehicle registration.
Can I visit the office?
Yes, by appointment during phone hours, at Suite 140 on Northwestern Highway.
What happens to my details?
The form delivery service carries your request to our inbox; after that, your details go only to the one lodging named in your quote. The privacy policy says how long we keep them.
Which months suit the Upper Peninsula?
Each stay page names the months we plan it and when it does not make sense. For most of the Upper Peninsula that is late spring to mid autumn.
